From the north follow the A19 and take the exit to the A179. Follow the brown signs to the Historic Quay / Maritime Experience and look for the masts of HMS Trincomalee (opp. Asda).
From the south follow the A19 and take the exit to the A689. Follow the brown signs to the Historic Quay / Maritime Experience and look for the masts of HMS Trincomalee (opp. Asda).
Free Park and Ride:
Follow the yellow traffic signs to Tesco Extra Superstore. Regular trips to and from the event.
Parking:
There is limited parking behind Mecca Bingo off Maritime Avenue, next to the event. We would advise using the park and ride scheme. Blue badge parking can be found off Marina Way next to Jackson’s Wharf public house.
Refreshments
No need to be hungry at Dockfest as we have lined up a delicious array of food to enjoy at the event. Including fish & chips, confectionery, vegetarian food, world cuisine, hot roast, continental coffee, ice cream and a fantastic German Bar, provided by Gilchrist's.
Conditions Of Entry To Event
Hartlepool Dockfest 09 is a family friendly event and we hope everyone has a fantastic day.
However we would like to take this opportunity to ask you to ensure the full safety of the event by complying with the following Terms & Conditions of entry:
- No Alcohol or glass bottles may be brought onsite. There are licensed bars on site – any alcohol found will be seized and not returned
- Anyone found to be intoxicated on or near to the site will be removed and refused entry to the event
- Dockfest 09 is about having a good time, anti social behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be ejected from the event
- Random searches will be in operation – anyone found in possession of an illegal or controlled substance will be handed to the police
- Refusal to be searched will lead to non admission
- The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission if in the reasonable opinion of the promoter admission to the venue might be a risk to the safety of the audience and/or affect the enjoyment of the audience
- If you look under 21 please do not be offended if we ask you for proof of age when you buy alcohol. Please bring proof of ID to show that you are over 18
- No tape or video recorders, professional photographic equipment or laser pens will be permitted in the area
- Visitors to the event consent to photography, filming/sound recording of the event as members of the audience, which may be used for promotional purposes
- It is against the law to smoke in enclosed spaces - all HBC sites are no smoking areas
- The organisers reserve the right to implement any restrictions, conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safe management of the event site
- Warning – Exposure to loud and excessive music may be damaging to your hearing
- Strobe lighting may be used at the event
